The park spans an area of approximately 86 hectares, featuring rich ecosystems ranging from Garry oak woodlands to Douglas fir forests. The hill within the park rises to about 203 meters, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including the distant Olympic Mountains and the cityscape of Victoria. Historically, the area was used for logging and quarrying, which has now been reclaimed by nature. Visitors can enjoy a variety of recreational activities such as hiking and photography along the park's well-maintained network of trails.
